Troy: Dr, are you sure its on? I can't hear a thing.
Dr Nick: (screaming) It's whisper quiet! Well the powersupply on my PC died in the heat the other day, so I started shopping around for bits.. after a while I got enticed by a the Antec Sonata and all the reviews expounding it's silence, purchased the big shiny box with "hear the silence" printed on the packaging, and spent a while wiring up my mobo into it.. and it's as loud, or maybe even louder than my other PC case. The lack of quietness is getting me some sarcastic comments given the promises of the packaging and maybe the design r marketing) is a bit hyped.
The case is very well made, with all the extra drive bays and quality bits (another thing that tipped me to getting a better case was slicing my hand on the old one) and rubber grommets and what not, but it does not signifigantly damp any of the noise of my system.
Although my old case didnt have any extra fans, so maybe I am not comparing it to the fan laden hypercooling boxes that this case is positioned against, plus the my graphics card fan is quite whiny to start with.
It's still a nice case though.
