My old motherboard died so got a Gigabyte GA-7S748

A peroid of spiraling Linux unreliability was shown to be not caused by bad drivers or bad ram as I first thought but by a burnt out component on my previous mobo, a Gigabyte GA-7VT600. It had lasted just over a year but I suspect a power surge or soemthing took it out.

I just got the cheapest board that would do the job, a Gigabyte GA-7S748 from Computers Parts Land for $65. So far working very well, and every part on the board (sound, USB, IDE, ethernet) has robust linux driver support. I was even able to overclock the XP2000 CPU up to 2.1Ghz clock speed and it is all rock solid.
